How it works
The standards stay the same. The path to them changes.
The Common Core describes what children should know at each grade. It does not describe how each child gets there. Ivy's job is the how.
The problem
Why bright kids get stuck
A classroom lesson has to work for twenty-five children at once, so it usually follows one sequence and one style of explanation. For many kids that works. For a lot of kids it does not, and they conclude that they are the problem. They are not. The sequence is.
Builders
Need to see the whole structure before the parts. Symbol-first instruction loses them early.
Movers
Learn with their bodies and their ears. Sitting still is the hardest part of the lesson.
Storytellers
Need a reason. Decontextualized passages and drills feel pointless, so they disengage.
The method
Learning profile in, custom activities out
- 1
Build the learning profile
A 90-minute session that looks like play. Ivy observes how your child approaches puzzles, reading, and open-ended tasks, and interviews them about what they love. Parents fill in the school picture.
- 2
Map the gaps to standards
Using school reports and her own snapshot, Ivy identifies the specific Common Core standards to target, from phonics sequences to fraction equivalence to informational text structure.
- 3
Design with AI, decide as a teacher
Ivy uses AI tools to rapidly prototype games, interactive stories, and printables built around your child's interests. Each one is edited and tested by Ivy before it reaches your child. What used to take a week to make now takes an evening, which means activities can change as fast as your child does.
- 4
Teach, measure, and adjust
Weekly sessions use the custom activities, and short practice lives in the Family Portal between sessions. Ivy tracks mastery by standard and rebuilds whatever is not working.

Questions parents ask
Honest answers
Is AI teaching my child?+
No. Ivy teaches your child. She uses AI tools the way an architect uses CAD software: to design and build faster. Every game, app, and printable is designed by Ivy, reviewed by Ivy, and used in sessions led by Ivy.
Does this replace what school is doing?+
It supports it. Activities are mapped to the same Common Core standards your child's teacher is working toward. Your child learns the same skills by a route that fits them, so classroom work gets easier.
What about my child's privacy?+
Ivy never enters your child's name, school, or identifying details into AI tools. Learning profiles are stored securely and are only used to design activities for your family.
What if my child's interests change?+
They will. The plan is reviewed every month and activities are rebuilt around whatever your child is into right now. That flexibility is the whole point.
Do you work with students who have IEPs or 504 plans?+
Yes. Ivy will read the plan with you and align tutoring with its accommodations and goals. She is happy to coordinate with teachers and specialists when families ask.
